For schools that are closed for bank holidays please see below for the guidance on adding in a Bank Holiday, there is guidance for doing this in SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom & ScholarPack:
SIMS
- Focus > School > School Diary
- Right click on the day of the bank holiday
- Choose New Public Holiday
- Pick Bank Holiday (or public holiday, depending how the school named it) from the category drop down box
- Check the start time box shows the correct date
- Click Ok (this automatically saves your changes)
- If you are a secondary phase schools with a timetable should then reapply the timetable via Tools > Academic Management > Apply Timetable from the day following the Bank Holiday to ensure that all your timetable days are mapped correctly after the bank holiday.
Arbor
- School > School Structure > Academic Years
- Click the year that contains the bank holiday
- Click Return to Incomplete
- In the Holiday section click the + Add option
- Give the holiday a name and choose Public Holiday from the Drop Down and pick the date
- Click Add Academic Holiday
- Click Mark as Complete
Bromcom
- Config > Curriculum > Academic Days
- Scroll down to find the week that contains the bank holiday
- Click the pencil icon at the end of that row
- On the date of the holiday click in the AM and PM drop downs and put a #
- Click Save at the bottom
ScholarPack
- To record school closure for a Bank Holiday, go to Admin > Config > Core Setup > Holidays.
- At the base of the page, enter the Holiday as a Bank Holiday, and input the start and end dates
- Click Add Holiday in order to apply the Code # in registers on that day.
