Top-up funding - Next Gen

We've been asked by a lot of schools to help them in specific areas of the Census while they find their feet in NextGen, one of the areas which i wanted to highlight is the Top-Up funding and how to bulk update it. 

Before we go through the process i just want to highlight a key area from the guidance 

Early years and EYPP / Top-up funding / Funding and monitoring 

IMPORTANT Changes made in the Early Years and EYPP, Top-up funding, and Funding and monitoring bulk update actions will not synchronise back to SIMS7. 

Selecting pupils in Early years and EYPP differs slightly from the general usage and includes a search bar and filter button in place of the Advanced search, though these essentially work in the same way. 

If appropriate, you can also copy the data from the previous term to selected records. You should ensure this data is correct before copying, though you can update the information once it has been Page 20 of 29 copied. Completing this action will replace any existing data with the previous term’s information for all selected pupils.

As you can see from the picture at the top of this page there are several areas that can be updated in bulk, here is how you do it. 

Within Next Gen navigate to the Admin Console via the left hand menu.

once you're in the Admin Console navigate to the Pupil Profile 

I think this is where some schools are getting confused because the bulk update is all the way at the bottom and the scroll bar isn't obvious on some screens so it's easy to miss.
